The real problem is for reasons unknown JD decided to come up with two totally different roll bar designs for the same machine so you can't add the pieces unless you revove and discard your old roll...
I tried the cab thing and regretfully JD has two different cab styles for the 825i. For reasons unknown you can just add the glass doors like most companies offer - you have to get a home equity load...
Go pick your machine up its totally normal - you're like me it drives you crazy!
Seems to me they would replace that antique clutch with something that was current.
Mike
Congrats on the new Gator I have the same machine - you might be better off with the canvas top since the plastic top really makes the 825 a lot more noisey when compared to riding with no top.
...
The clutch is a total joke - its old technology that was used 15 years ago on my Mule. Off road vehicles need the engine for braking and what do they do? they disengage it completely.
Do you have the turn signal kit for your machine - I ordered the turn signals for mine.
Bottom line is I bought the 825i for the very fact it has a "Big" 3 cyl engine with plenty of torque & HP and there is no reason for it to be screaming at 4200+ rpm when you're going down the road at...
Dude you need to get your act together your mind must have been hitting only on a few cylinders yourself to take a wide track machine like a 825i Gator down a 30" path.
I have a modified Golf Cart which has only 2 "Drum" brakes on the rear wheels and it stops better than my 825i.
Isn't the cup holder on the floor between the seats on the 825?
I'll tell you another blunder - on all my Kawasaki Mules the dumb asses put the emergency brake on the left side of the driver seat and when you get either in or out should your butt push in the...
I agree!!
Well it was around 60 degrees yesterday when we went for a ride and the leakage kept us nice and warm - while I was driving I felt hot air coming in from under the dash - I would really like to put...
It sort of reminds me of the BMW motorcycle diff problem - for over 10 years the seals would blow out and cover the back wheel with oil and you would lose your brake - transmission and have a oil...
Well you can forget them making the e-brake or in fact the service brake any better - there's little doubt both need to be improved. If your on a steep bank you have to stand on the service brake to...
Do a search on Ebay - there is one for the Gator complete with bracket and a good price.
Mike
If you're looking for a better parking brake by adjusting it, forget it. Mine is the same regardless of how hard you pull it the brake barely locks on any type of incline. Like the parking brake, the...
I don't know, I own & drive a lot of equipment both gas and diesel and there is just no reason the 825i engine has to be screaming 4000 K rpm while doing 10-12 mph - it's ridiculous.
The reason...
What a friggen nightmare - these rails should come off without tools!
If you ask me the clutch should have been installed a year ago - there's little doubt the 825i clutch has issues such as too high rpm and this goofy free-wheeling feature that no body can figure out...
Congrats!
Anyone got a fix to lower the RPM on the 825i 4K+ rpm is terrible when your only doing 10-15 mph.
Love the water shot where the Gator drives over the camera - More - More!
I have the tires on my rig - It's going to give you some more speed at less RPM so that's a plus regarding the engine screaming at 4,000 rpm at 15 mph.
If it were a true On Demand system there would be no difference unless there was a traction problem - No I know its not as advanced as a All Wheel Drive system which is so smooth you can't feel it...
