How to Change Buttons (wear pads) on a 4x2 Gator Secondary Clutch

    Hello All -

Is there a way to change the clutch buttons (wear pads) on a 1990's 4x2 Gator secondary clutch without removing the entire clutch assembly from the shaft and taking it apart? It looks like half the buttons can be replaced easily as there is nothing pressing against them but the other half are pressed against the engaged part with a great deal of pressure against them. Any help you can provide is appreciated. Thanks!

Take off the clutch...........put it in a vise................then turn it so you can remove the buttons with a pair of pliers and take care not to break them or you'll have to heat the aluminum casting up a bit with a propane torch and pick them out.
