Original engine or replacement?

My mother just gave me an older gator 6x4 diesel as a gift for the grand kids! It was purchased for cheap at an auction for the state of AL D.O.T. It seems to run fine, most issues are cosmetic. I am wanting to service everything (fluids/filters) just to be safe. The hour meter is showing 2915, but I was wondering if there is any way to verify if this is the original engine.
The gator #s are Vin: VG06x4D025589 and the engine #s are XCH3007D050921X and engine model #s are 3007D003.
Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes that is the correct engine serial number for this gator. Machine build date is aug 2000. Hope that helps you, Also welcome aboard!
