Has anyone worked on these 2011- parking brakes before? Mine is very loose

I have a 2012 625i and the parking brake has loosened up on it and will not engage until the absolute last click, and it is fairly weak at that. I would be willing to take it apart and figure out if there is something broken or loose inside, but from the parts diagram online I wouldn't know what to touch. Anyone have a tech manual and know how to do work on these?

Not sure if the 625i is the same as the 825i.
