This kind of thing is the cyber form of vandalism. I've always considered a vandal to be a particular type of sicky. It's easy to see what motivates a thief, they have something in their hand after the deed is done and for all you know, they might have a starving family they have to feed. A vandal OTOH only has the sick satisfaction of knowing that they made life miserable for some innocent soul.
If they ever decide to start burning spammers and virus developers at the stake, they won't get any opposition from me.
