    Unhappy HPX Transaxle Repair

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum and need help. Found a badly coroded transaxle case in my early mod HPX 4X4. So much so it has worked a hole in it just above the drain plug hole. Lookes like I'll need a different transaxle or two case halves. Can anyone help?

Can you get the hole welded over. I would check with a boat prop shop that is used to repairing aluminum propellers. If the case is structurally OK I'm wondering if JB Weld would seal it well enough to keep dirt out and the oil in.

Good idea Dane, I got the plug out today to let the rest of the oil out. Talked to auto parts store and they have some two part epoxie-thick ribbon style. Have used before and good results

I used Jb weld to fix a hole jet-ski crankcase it ran all last season without a hitch.
