Rotella is a good oil. Shell makes some pretty good products. One that is a real sleeper and if I wasn't using the oil I am now, I would give the good 'ol Pennzoil 10w30 conventional in the yellow bottle a try. From the analysis done of it by the Petroleum Quality Institute of America, it can just about put a lot of synthetics to shame. It has a very strong add pack and has some very impressive numbers. PQIA did a retest of the stuff because it came out looking so good, and they got the same test results. One serious oil that can usually be gotten on sale just about anywhere for a very good price. Great load of moly, boron, and zinc. that should provide some very good protection of cams and rockers on something like the 825i. Very low NOACK (burn off) rate comparable with the best synthetics and excellent viscosity index, equal with any synthetic blend on the market.

here is the test results of it from PQIA....
