My 620i smokes

I was changing oil and filter on my 07 jd xuv 620i, and poured about 2 1/2 quarts of oil in. Then I realized it needs only about 1 1/3 qt. I did run the engine for about 30 seconds to get the oil in the filter. Then I drained the excess to the proper level. Since then the xuv smokes from the exhaust pipe.

I was wondering what hapenned? I'd like to fix it. Any idea where to start?

Oil has gotten past rings and into cylinder area which in turn gets into the exhaust port and then muffler area. Run the crap out of it to get the exhaust hot and it will burn out the oil residue. No harm is done.
