    mfg. date of gator

    I have a 4x2 Gator with serial number of: FE290D-C508. How do I find out date of mfg.? Thanks

    Isn't that the engine serial number?

    It will be a 13 diget number starting with w004x2

    Alright, I think I have the serial number now. It is: W004X2X025005 I would like to find out the mfg. date. Thanks for your patience and for your help.

    Why do you persist in telling people their mfg date when they ask you HOW to tell what it is? If you'd simply tell HOW to tell what it is people whop see your response wouldn't have top ask over and over and over - would they?

    Or maybe you just like being Mr. Answerman, I don't know.

    There is no way to find out the date of build by decoding the VIN or PIN without running it thru the JD dealer system. as dealer employees we are doing this as a favor. No need to get testy. And as a matter of record.. all us Deere dealer employees are the "answerman". And we are damn proud of it.
