That's what I did, campoman. Found a 4 x 6 x 3/4 inch rubber stall mat at Tractor Supply Co. & cut it to fit for the cargo bed. Just be aware that a reviewer at Tractor Supply says 1) these are 96 pounds in weight before cutting it up & still heavy afterwards
2) there is a substantial rubber smell to them for a while too.

If you have a TSC near you, they're $39.99 each, better than the JD price of $120 for much thinner mat. Oh & remember to pull this out every once in a while so any water can be removed from under the mat.

There's a 4 x 3 x 1/2 inch version for $25, too.
