04 HPX Parking Brake Does Not Engage Fully

I have checked the adjustment and it is at the end. Assume it needs new pads. Any advice?

Isn't the 04 parking brake a bit different? Is it a disk on the transaxle?

I believe so. It "pinches" the disc.

Post a picture. Or post your serial number. I believe it's an entirely separate disk/caliper than later years from what I've seen on the jd parts breakouts. Anyway the later years are mechanically manually lever operated and integrated into the rear brake calipers. Did you go through the adjustment procedure? Because you'll run out of throw on your ebrake long before you run out of brake pads.

Serial # is: MOHP4GX012434 I will snap a picture this weekend. There does not appear to be any adjustment left in the cable.
Thanks for you help on this!

Are you sure you did it right? Still not sure on your setup yours is definitely early model, but you should run out of pad WAY before you could run out of ebrake throw. There's tons of adjustment on mine. Did you turn the spindle and reset the levers on the calipers?
