    Tire Question(s)??

A "friend" took my gator for a spin and cut my front tire on a rock. It's not a big cut but it is in the side wall of my Big Horn 2 size 27x9x14. The price of a new one is insane. I was wondering if anyone has ever tubed one of these tires and if so has it held up well. Also if I do have to buy a new one where is the best place to get it from? Thanks for all for your help.

Side wall cuts are not good, personally I would not tube this tire.
Discount Tire has a great online store...
I realize this is a dated thread, however others may have the question

I ended up getting a new one from JD. Only place I could find the right size. They said something about exclusivity but i'm not sure I buy that.

There are numerous brands in the 27x9x14 size, I share your skepticism on exclusivity....

Personally, I really like the Big Horns. I plow snow for my development and a couple other properties and after 5 years they continue to impress me with their wear and grip on all types of terrain. I would have never had an issue with cutting one if I had not let a "city boy" drive my gator. He tried to climb a slate rock wall in 2WD and when he got stuck he backed down with the wheels turned and jammed the sidewall against a rock and cut it. No matter what machine I run in the future I will run the Big Horns. Just my experience, I'm sure others have plenty of horror stories about them.
