Fuel pump wiring issues??? intermittent contact si driving me NUTZ!

I have a 2011 825i and early this year it started having intermittent issues with the fuel pump not operating. Once when stranded I happen to jiggle the wiring harness connector for the fuel pump and the problem was solved. It happened again a couple times but now is becoming a nuisance. I have taken apart the connector and used contact cleaner and still have intermittent issues. In my opinion I don't think teh wiring connector is of a good design. It could be stouter and have a better connection points. Is this a common issue? If so did you just hard wire and eliminate the connector? I realize if I do that then when I have to replace the fuel pump it wont be as easy.

Any help is appreciated.

First time I have read about this issue with a fuel pump. Broken wires happen unfortunately.

My 2011 had an intermittent issue, and we traced it down to the relay module under the hood. Runs perfect now!
