    6x4 Chains

I am new to the 6x4. The chains seems a tad loose.

I am a new Gator owner also. I have noticed the same thing with the drive chains. The top seems very tight and the bottoom is loose and hits the frame now and then. How can I adjust them?

You should have 1/2 inch of slack.

Lift the Gator, turn the front wheel backward to have a;ll the slack on top, put a straighedge on top of both sprockets. You should have 1/2 in. slack.

If not, loosen the 4 bolts holding the rear spindle, then tighten the chain using the 1/4 bolt at the back.
