John Deere has apparently issued a recall on one of the exhaust gaskets on the Gator 825i. Deere is coming tomorrow to replace mine. Soon as I know which gasket is affected by this recall, i'll post that info here.

Yeah I know I could do it. Didn't know which gasket it was, they are sending someone out to my farm tomorrow to do it. I am a professional mechanic, and actually used to work there - and they told me it would void the warranty if I did it! (Which I know is bullshit!) But hey, i'll sit here and drink beer watching someone else work! It'll probably be a nice change of pace! Thanks for the info though! You don't happen to have any info on the front driveshaft issues they've had? I've already had mine replaced, but im sure some of the other members of this forum would like to see any info you might have. Thanks again!

My 825i was on a quality hold before it shipped in December. Contacted the dealership today and mine was done during the quality hold and not on the list of machines for the pip.

So was that the quality hold the gasket?

I don't know if that was the only issue but was told mine was taken care of at the factory. I would think owners of the affected Gator's would be notified by mail by JD.

Not all were effected, only up to a certain serial number, which most were built in 2010.

This is another reason I love this Forum, we keep each other updated! I just sent my local dealer an email asking if my machine is effected. Thanks for this great post!

Local dealer contacted me right after I sent them an email. My 825i was invoiced from John Deere to them on March 11, 2011, I purchased the machine from local dealer on March 18, 2011. My "Certificate of Origin" is number JD 0417312. I am not sure what the cut off date of number is but my machine is not effected. Thank you very much for keeping us all updated on recalls.
