I found these decals on JDParts.com and they indicate that JD does plan to have powersteering but only in their 855D and 825i models.... not the 625i:TT:. Maybe because the engine doesnt supply the power needs to run the pump and still have sufficient power. Anyways the fender decals are $5.50 a piece (not bad if you ask me)

I wish the power steering itself was that cheap! I am glad I didn't wait to see if I wanted it because I would have paid quite a bit more for the one I have.

I had heard from a John Deere dealer in North Carolina that the power steering was on hold right now because it is causing problems at high speeds. I don't know how true that information is or not. I also have a Kubota RTV 900 with power steering and I really miss it on my Gator when in tight spots.

ebk4710: Thats correct on the hold situation. I talked with my friend who owned our local JD dealer and said that they put it on definite hold for now because at higher speeds something is messing up and they obviously cant figure it out lol.... SUCKS!!! :Bnghd:I hope its at least out by christmas.

As for the Kubota, I test drove a rtv1100 and I take my hat off :Hwdy:to kubota because they've gotr figured out!!

There is a power steering unit offered on ebay today by a John Deere dealer for $995.00 with free shipping. Just search John Deere Gators XUV and it shows up in the search.

Just picked up my 825i last month. Will this be offered to those of us that have purchased the machine?

Looking to buy a new 825i and sell my grizzly 700.(get more use out of a gator on the farm). My dealer still has no info on power steering units yet. Hoping to hear something soon because I think I really want this option but curious to hear if there's any news and how the unit steers as it is now.(haven't had a chance to test one yet).

The only time I wish I had the power steering is when stopped. Other than that my steering wheel spinner aka (suicide Knob) works well.

825joe, I know what your talking aobut, this morning I was out in the back 40 clearing a section of woods, of course using the new 825i. Well driving out there at 0630 this morning, one handed with a cup of coffee in the other. Had to stop then make a hard left turn, what a booger to do with a cup of coffed in hand. Made it though, little less coffed but "gotta done". Emded up looking like I wet my britches. Thank God the coffee was not scalding hot, if so we would have had a scalded attachment.

LOL! I've done that before. I tell ya for the 12 bucks or so the premium steering wheel knobs work well for one handed maneuvering. I got the one with the ball bearings. Its in the picture I have in the winch thread.
