Went trail riding with the Gator this weekend and off on an abandon trail :BG: we found this being takin back to the Earth. :OhNoes:

Sorry this last pic is not clear. I kid you not that I was being attacked by about 50 horse flies and as I took these pics I am dancin and poppin around trying not to stand still and get bit. :lol:

I think it said model H Series 147. That don't look like a JD H tractor! :lurk:

Figures I find something that hauls sheit but not a little but a lot of it! :lol:

Next time back I am gonna search for the rims. They gotta be worth a nice penny but I fear they are long gone.

That is a ground driven manure spreader from the late 50's, There are still some in use around the area for small acreage owners that only have a truck to pull it around with or maybe a GATOR!!

Have not seen one of these for a few years. When I first started farming I had one exactly like it. Had to replace the entire bed and chain but that thing worked great. Would haul it around with a Ford NAA.

Purplewg I know exactly whay your saying. How many farmers out there are still using 40s, 50s and 60s equipment. Hay baler 1954 that still ticks like a clock, never fails. Once each summer she will need some TLC, seems the knotters will go out of wack every once in a while. But for the cost of a new machine I will spend the half hour adjusting them once each season.
