I had recently received a new filter from JD for my rsx 850i. I stopped by JD and bought the oil to go ahead and change it when I put the new filter on. The dealer said it would take just under 3 quarts with the filter so I bought 3. When I got home I checked the manual and it said it would take "just over 3"..... 3.25 quarts to be exact.
That being said, when changing the filter I notice the new filter is about twice as long as the old one so I was wondering if anyone knows exactly how much oil it takes when changing the filter?
I put 3.25 in so far, the oil light is off but it's not reading much on the dipstick. Of course it's hard to get a good reading on the dipstick when the oil is new. Thanks for any responses.
