Friends rich ex wife asked if I wanted to buy their Gator that was not running.
I went and looked at it and it was some kinda dirty, chains had some rust, and would not start. She wanted $500.00
I paid her, loaded it up and took it home. Was looking for something with a bed on it for working on the deer hunting lease.
Got it home, spent $39.00 for a new battery. Would not start.
Pulled the starter, cleaned it up, greased it, tested it. Bendix kicked in and it turned. Put it on and traced wire to neutral switch, found short and taped it up.
Turned key and it started instantly.
Took me more time to clean it up than to fix it.
Looking for some info on adjusting belt tension.
Runs great but would like to know about adjustments and reapirs for future.
