I hate fires...
I always buy the JD maintenance kit, although I would have no problem with platinum plugs from another manufacturer. I only have 115 hours on my 825i, so no drive belt changes yet. I see Gates belts...
I will check that the next time it misbehaves.
Glad to have ya!
I don't know, you would think it would at least fire a little. There is simply nothing except the starter turning. If I waiting a half hour or so, it fires up immediately.
I will try that the next time it happens, but you would think it would be more consistent if it was a fuel pump pressurization issue.
Yup, that is the behavior all right. It has happened to me three times over the winter, but it is certainly not a consistent issue.
Sounds like a fair deal.
Several times now after driving my 2012 825i around for a while and then parking it, the engine will not fire trying to restart it. The starter works fine, but the engine will not fire. If I let it...
I believe there is some downward pressure. Don't get me wrong, I want the Boss plow. The Boss dealer is about 500 feet from by office, but my JD dealer sells the sno-way. I would have had the Boss...
My 825i loves the snow. As others have said, once it gets too deep, you start bottoming out. But in general it runs well up to a foot of snow or so.
My JD dealer is pushing the Sno-Way plow. It is only a straight blade, but it looks very well made. They don't even recommend the PowerTach. the Boss and Sno-Way were priced the same.
I have a couple of the rubber ones.
There is no recall listed on the JD website. The only Gator recalls are for the RSX850i.
A good point, but how much does it cost to replace the axles?
I bought the JD front and rear halogen work light kits for the roof. I replaced the front ones with two LED units that work really well.
Congratulations. I have been pretty happy with my 825i, and have not had any serious problems either.
Yeah he was quoting me the list price and I have not pushed him for an actual written quote.
I asked my JD dealer what my 825i would get for trade if I were to purchase a new 2014 unit. I built the new unit online and added the deluxe cab and all the bells and whistles. List price is $23400....
Not a problem, I have been wondering the same thing.
I will look at my technical manual tonight and see if they have any recommendations.
Can you clarify what the operating conditions were during the shaft failure? It seems related to plowing with the Gator, but were you in 4WD, high or low? What were the snow conditions? What failed,...
Sorry for the late response. I did get the lights and installed them on the roof. They work awesome. I will send a photo at some point.
What is the recommended frequency for changing the differential fluid?
I recommend getting the technical manual. It is invaluable for doing repairs like this (and more!).
