    HPX Gator Carb replacement

Hey guys. So this carb on my 04 hpx has seen better days. I rebuilt the blown up engine it had when I received it. No matter what I do I can't seem to get the carb to settle down. It take a bit of choking to start and most of the time when coming to a stop the idle is normal. And sometimes it wont idle down to change gears until I choke it. Whoever played with this carb before me really abused it. Although the needles and gaskets appear to be in good condition, i'd like to replace it. Is there an alternative that I can replace it with, or am I stuck paying $400+ from John Deere? I can't seem to find anyone who sells it. There is a rebuilt kit out there for these, however the tech manual for adjusting is a bit of a joke. If anyone has any tips that would be appreciated.

I don't know which carb you have, I rebuilt the one in my 06 hpx. I picked up a rebuild kit on ebay for about $40.
